No. The site where you can download it...

Mega, I don't think it really *needs* that CPU. I think the game relies more on RAM (and lot's of it) than any other thing...

So, unless you have a craptacular pc (wich may be the case ), you could try it

Oh, and btw, the game can be made to turn into really funny scenarios : P
I didn't yet got used to the way it interprets what you write, tho. Sometimes it seems to simply ignore some stuff... (maybe the default responce to the "I don't understand" case :\ )

An excerpt of awkward moment... : P

This program is fairly fun and interesting, but the programming itself seems a bit sloppy. To start, you are forced to install it in a fixed location on drive C, and moving it afterward to another drive or location doesn't seem to work. I generally try to keep my C partition dedicated to only holding the OS, drivers, and some utilities, so having a 1Gig 'interactive drama' on there is not exactly desireable. It also should have probably been made to run fullscreen, since swapping between Facade and other programs seems to mess up the display, causing the start menu to turn black and showing other anomalies. For the system requirements, the visuals themselves could have been a bit better as well. The cell shading is fine, but most textures and objects could have been more refined. An odd thing about the interface is that they recommend playing through it multiple times, but force you to exit the program, reload the whole thing, and sit through the intoduction just to do so. The ability to return to the name selection screen to start over would have made sense.

I do like the idea though, and think it would be fun to have a longer, more refined game of this sort. Perhaps it could outline a full day's events, giving you choices throughout, like whether to go to work or just stroll around town, and have the day unfold from there.

I'm SURE I told it to install in c:\games\facade (unless it never asked), but like Cryo said, it seems to have a preference for C:\facade...

Well, let's see if it's any good.

Well, grace and trip seem to have frozen. They aren't responding to anything I say or do now.

Do the pictures (actual pictures in frames, I mean) bend weirdly for anyone else when you're turning? And the skyline is weird too. It seems like a billboard that's always facing you.

Edit: I started over, but then it crashed when I tried to keep drinking out of my empty glass.

Heh, Computer Games Magazine has a funny quick article about Facade. That comment on Trip's voice acting certainly makes a good point. : P

Regarding the CPU speed thing, the forums said hold Shift-F12 to skip the check.

Otherwise, make sure you're running XP. I'm running 2K here and it just tends to reboot my machine if I try to load it. Ahhhh well, there's a lot to be said for MAME.

I find that me being a slow typist tends to make them consider me unresponsive

Any solutions except the obvious "type faster"?

Yeah, I have a suggestion that might help with the slow typing problem: Try galatea instead. It's amazing.
