Raptor, have you tried changing your icon text background color from blue to black? It could work!
I didn't even know you could do that, and it wouldn't matter, I change my background so much transparent would be better anyway. Making them black would only work for this background, next week I could have one that is purple

As promised here is mine with a relax blue color

The quality isn't good, but you can see enough.

Yes, we can see MORE than enough...you probably should've removed that Noctis V icon from your desktop before screen-capturing, now I'm sure you'll be bombarded with questions from the impatient ones

That is a good question, why do you have a NV icon on your desktop?

My desktop is great.

Have a look at life without Microsoft:

<link cd/jpgs/Shadowclaw/screenshot>

This is XFree86 with the Window Maker window manager, running under NetBSD/i386 1.6.2 (for the technical minded). The GIMP is only open because I used it to get that screenshot.

My two wallpapers, from my laptop and desktop (these screenshots was submitted a while ago, but the two have not changed much at all during that time):

(sorry about the size of that png; I should have converted to jpg, but I forgot at the time I posted it - might do it later though)

www.digitalblasphemy.com they have lots of free 3d rendered wallpapers in case anyone wants them. some dont work as well as others, but they all have a cool surreal kind of feel. also, the higher res ones take a while to download, but look much better.

Oops, forgotten to delete it. But now you know it, the things you can do with money.

No, I was allready reserving a place for it on my desktop.

Well, this is one of my earliest renders with Terragen, and it still holds a near and dear place to my heart. The text is simplified, and I think much more polished, from the original.

cd/jpgs/Kalliope/desktop032204 (374 Kb)

Yes, I took screenshots in RCT and trimmed the sprites and then superimposed them. Now that I think about it, I SHOULD have added some shadows, but eh. It still works

My Desktop

Sorry it's large, but I've got a high resolution.

Raptor, it works with most of the wallpapers. Try yourself!

I'm using a software that changes my background wallpaper every 15 minutes, so I can't show it to you. Besides, the images I'm using are mainly personal ones.
Otherwise, I've only got three icons in the bottom of the screen: My Computer, Internet Connexion and Recycle Bin. And I'm of the people that maximize every window... My desktop is of no interest.

Okay, again... I DON'T know how to do it, and you aren't telling me, and as far as I can see you CAN'T do it with XP.
