| | | | As a straight-to-video animation, yeah. I think he means an actual theatrical attempt. | | | | |

| | | | They were going to do it before doing the lord of the rings, or so I heard. | | | | |

| | | | Brave New World seems like such an obvious choice to me that I have a hard time believing that it hasn't been made already. I've laid out storyboards in my head to some of the scenes in that book. It's really amazing.
Good Omens would rock if directed by someone like Peter Jackson, Tim Burton or Terry Gilliam. With Christopher Lee as Death, just like in the two Discworld films. Talking of Discworld, I want to see "Moving Pictures" as a live action movie. And "The Truth". Not to mention "Hogfather".

| | | | Any of the Sword of Shannara books would be good. Or the Sword of Truth series. | | | | |

It's really amazing. | Yeah, but I suspect such a movie would have to be a 'foreign' film (i.e., foreign meaning outside of the US), since if they were to be faithful to the book it'd probably be skirting an NC-17 rating, aka the Financial Kiss of Death. It's a great book, one of the ones that each time I go back to it I find something new, but its content is definitely mature audiences only. (Probably why it was on the senior year curriculum, where people reading would 99.99% of the time be at least 17. And most of them out of the "Heehee, boobies" mindset.)

| | | | Brave New World was actually done in the 80's - TV movie. I don't know if it was any good, but it was done nentheless. I agree that a new version would be cool, if not a little risky due to content, though.... | | | | |

| | | | Another good one for a movie or even TV show would be "Tales of the White Hart" by Clark(e? i never can remember if he has an e in his name) It's a collection of Science Fiction short storys told in the frame story of a pub. I dont own the "White Hart" book, but I do have a big short story collection of Clarke's with most if not all of them in it. | | | | |
