| | | | I'm currently trying to find a movie I saw a long time ago on TV when I was younger.
Here's what I remember about it: it was a sci-fi movie, where two astronauts (maybe more) investigated some odd planet where they encountered an alien robot, who wore a helmet. When they asked him why he wore the helmet (wondering wether he didn't breathe oxygen or anything; they didn't realize he was a robot), he took off his helmet and revealed a freaky looking face with two fake eyeballs and a set of teeth. This robot could also vaporize people with some blue beam that came out of his helmet. In one scene, a man was crushed by a sliding door (there wasn't any blood or anything, the door simply shut when he was in the way and he was crushed to death).
Anybody know what movie I'm talking about?

| | | | No, it cannot be Forbidden Planet.
"Robbie the Robot" looks much different.

"Robbie the Robot" looks much different. | No, definitely not that one. The robot looked just like an ordinary human being in some sort of (black?) spacesuit and a helmet, with the freaky face underneath.
