What is it? Well since the creation of mazes in Avatar are very time consuming I thought that a nice simple program to help in the development of these mazes would be very usefull.

I just started this yesterday so it isn't very far along, but I do have a small working model. And of course all the tiles in the game are not included yet, takes awhile to get them all.

Anyways, this program is mostly usefull to MasterSprites but anyone can use it. And maybe if you create a really good maze it might just be added to the game.

How to use it...
Use your cursor to place tiles where you want, when you get close to the edge it will scroll automaticly, now to select diffrent tiles just press the Space button, it will jump to selection screen. Just click one and it will pop back to the maze. Just click wherever to place whatever. Also if you press the F key it will fill the entire maze and this is not undoable so beware. If you right click on a tile that means thats the current tile you can use so you dont have to go back to the selection screen... So for a easier list;

Also, I have it where you can save the maze by pressing the F1 key, but right now its really not usefull. Since we need Alex to let us upload the file and so forth. But I would wait for the final version of this program to really make anything. Plus I dont have a load feature yet, so just play around with it for now.

So take a look if you want, I should have all the tiles in it pretty quick.

• Added Darkness, Day/Night, NPC Level and Soulclasses. Press D to select between Dark or Day/Night. And Click the others to make a box popup to change.

• Now name will only except 10 or less characters, and only letters or numbers.
• Main graphics redone. Looks alot better now. ^_^
• Mini Map doesn't work yet, working on it.

• Added the random forest feature. Just press the keypads 0 and it will randomly place tiles in your view, not the whole map.
• F key now fills with selected tile to your view, not entire map.

It is really easy to use.

Is it also possible to create in a later stage quests with it?
Or is that not possible in Avatar?

Quests and placement of items/NPCs would have to be done in game. But at the moment quests are kinda... crappy. There isn't a whole lot you can do with them, and the MS has to be on to do it and all that, aside from the riddles its just a hassle.

Hey, that's neat. It seems to have a relatively friendly interface so far. It should improve the ability to design levels with an overview of the whole area, as well.

Yeah, Im hoping to get everything done as fast as possible. It will make the whole maze making alot faster and a ton easier.

Im hoping to make a random placement option if I can figure out how to, and some other little features too. But so far so good.

Just added a random feature( press the keypads 0 ). So far I only have a forest one since I dont have all the tiles yet. I am on planning to let you select upto 10 tiles to make your own random map with what you want. I won't add that untill I get all the tiles in the program and everything else done.

Im also trying to get a MiniMap that will lay out the whole map so you can see how it looks. Its kinda running the game very slowly so I might not get that done untill the final version.

But other then that, just changed a few things here and there, a update list is on my first post here.

Well, any questions or features you would like to see let me know and I'll consider them.

Your random only fills what you can see on the screen, you should have an option to randomize the whole level.

You did mention that, I just missed it. Anyway, keep that area of view random bit as well. It could be useful if you want to create a small area but not randomize the whole entire level.

Just alittle reminder. I am still working on this, I would like to get a Email back from Alex telling me how the maze files work completely. I know of the basic details, but it would be nice to have everything so I can make this thing alot faster.

Anywho, I'm still working on it. Just alittle slow right now. But I will most likely have all the tiles in the program once Alex gives me some feedback, if any this year...

If anyone's wondering what I'm rambling about, my FATE map editor for avatar died for the exact same reasons.

Well, mostly anyway. If that nasty thing people call "Real life" hadn't interrupted I probably would have pestered Alex until he submitted or banned me from ABB.
