Since i have just returned from the Tatra Mountains i will now proceed to flood this place with photographic evidence.

Therefore this thread is now called simply McWgogs' photography. And i will now post all my photos here, including macro photography.

Older macros can be found in that thread:

And now the mountain shots:
(these are rather large)

Ooh... Nice photos. The 360° panorama is neat. Next time you should include upward and downward angles though, and make a full spherical QTVR. : )

The fifth shot is almost like The Sound of Music. I can only assume you initiated a song and dance routine in the moments that followed.

The first three photos on the 'img189' server are not loading properly right now though, and weren't when I checked a few hours ago either. They start to load slowly at roughly dial-up speed before crawling to a halt a portion of the way through. I don't experience that problem with the rest of the images on the other servers though. I was finally able to get the first to finish loading, but haven't managed to get the other two to complete yet. That server seems to be having some problems at the moment.

I can see the great spot. I didn't think there were supposed to be two.

Great shots there.

The Small Red Spot is probably on the other side now, and a bit too small to be captured on low resolution images such as mine.
I haven't seen the thing in a while too, but i think it should still be there.

Oh no... It is there, but not visisble...

Btw: The small red spot does not exist anymore since a long time ago (it apeared in 2008 and disapeared some time after), the second spot is named Oval BA

It IS in the photo, if you pay attention you see that the yellow band right below the great spot is disrupted near the left side of the great spot, this disruption is the Oval BA.

You seem to be right, the oval is in that location:

I wonder how hard is to take a photo of the sun... I don't see much of that around...

It's not that hard. If you have a telescope and a camera, you'll only need a suitable filter on the telescope to photograph the sun.

He's Australian. He is looking at the sky upside-down.

Whut?

I am not australian

Who is australian?
written by Barebones on Aug 03, 2009 18:41
Nah, not you. The author of the photo I quoted, which has the Great Spot above rather than below.

It also varies from photographer to photographer if they reverse their pictures, since they usually are seen upside-down through the telescope.
