| | | | Liku, I suggest to use other format for the Noctis shots that you take, in order for them to load faster, GIF or PNG. | | | | |

| | | | I thought since they were so small I shouldn't even bother converting them. 56K wouldn't even have a slow load with these, would they? | | | | |

| | | | Probably would. I only switched to DSL from dial-up sometime late this year, and bitmaps always seemed to take a while loading on that slower 56k connection. Sometimes longer than JPEG files. Not sure why. Or maybe it was just me being inpatient, and usually I do have patience. | | | | |

| | | | One word: CONSIDERATION.
Some people may use hardware that exudes more crappiness than you thought could possibly exist, or their internet connection could consist of two styrofoam cups and some string.
Again: CONSIDERATION

| | | | Wanderer is right about being considerate. The majority of the internet seems to be made for high speed connections now, but unfortunately some people still use ancient technology. Those people tend to back out of a website that takes too long to load. I used to be one of them. If you have a picture that takes a long time to finish downloading, a dial-up user is more likely to back away from it before it ever completely loads. Most internet web pages seem to have forgotten about the ancient ones. Just convert your pictures to JPEG, GIFS, or PNG, and everything will be ok. OR ELSE! | | | | |

| | | | Plus, they have to be such file formats to be uploaded on C-Disk in the first place. | | | | |

| | | | Noctis images in JPG are both BIG and BAD QUALITY..
Use PNG or GIF.. I prefer GIF myself, but PNG can sometimes get smaller filesizes...

| | | | What's the "C-Disk?"
To a certain extant, I was being considerate. But I didn't realize how bad dial-up actually is. It's been so long since I've had to expirience it.

| | | | Its down there on the bottom bar, between the new button and the ? button. | | | | |

Technology improves every day, and high speed internet has become the main stream. Unfortunately this very fast service is still too expensive for many people, which is why some have stuck with old technology, being Dial-up. All these comments have been made because we still have to consider people who refuse to make the big switch. We don't want to push people away because of long wait times, especially on a small internet community such as this one. Waiting for a web page full of pictures to load at 6 kb per second requires a large amount of patience, and this is the common experience with dial-up. Heck, DSL is sometimes not as fast as it should be.
