 | |  | | ![]() Under the noctis doscoveries forum, it says "tell us where you've been"..........well......I'm gonna take it in a new direction, I'm going to tell you about some of the most interesting places in the galaxy that have been named by explorers many moons ago.
First one up is........Askew.....now this is a place you should look up on noctis mapper, it starts at the first Askew system: Askew 1......all the way to..........*drum roll*.............
Askew 99!
Wowzers......The Askew systems take up a large pocket of space that is quite some distance from the majority of named stars closer to the center. Someone must've been bored one day

Digging around Noctis mapper I think that Earidon is the named system most distant from the center......it will be my mission to venture beyond Earidon, and bring fellow drifters info from the cold edge of the universe...............but stay tuned for more galactic hotspots that other explorers have named......I will see plenty on my way.
(actually, Jeropa is the farthest named star......but it's just an S06 with no name given, so it doesn't count)

.....I slowly drifted to a brilliantly yellow star......the flight computer listed it as being named....."outrigger"......it had one lonesome orbiting planet known as "Out3b" .......the planet was green, dark, and it had a ring. Upon touching down on the surface, despite the sun being so close, it was extremely dark.......suddenly a thunderous earthquake shook the surface.....I was hoping it would stop.....but it continued!
I had no choice but to rush back to my pod and return to my drifter, I know not of what became of the earthquake.........but it is of no concern.....I must continue to Earidon....the last landmark on the path to the edge.....

so there you have it.....my adventure to the edge of the Noctis galaxy put in the form of a somewhat interesting story......but in the next series I'll actually do what this thread was for....talking about already named systems....but it will still be in "Drift Trek" form

Thankies......Y'know.....In my original idea I used the long spaces to simulate a scene change, like when a camera changes to a different position, this was written to be more like a script than a story.... If only there was a way to make it into a movie.
