| | | | Demonoid has gone down leaving just this message in it's wake:
The CRIA threatened the company renting the servers to us, and because of this it is not possible to keep the site online. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for your understanding.
Only TPB marches on...
edit: isohunt too, but frankly, i hear IsoHunt trackers can be dangerous nowadays :S
Oh, and OBVIOUSLY I only use the torrent protocol for completely legal purposes

| | | | They couldn't buy there own servers? Bums!
But once down... 1,000 more site to go... It'll never stop and all the torrent makers will post elsewhere.
|
| | | | Yeah, but Demonoid was one of the best. | | | | |

| | | | Yeah, it's pretty sad that we have one less way of downloading crap we don't need.
In all seriousness, we have one less way of making data freely available. D:

| | | | I bet they'll be back in a week, at least that’s what happened the last two times.
And if not, well, pirates will always find a way to get their warez; trying to shut them all down is about as futile as a endless game of whack-a-mole. If not even more.

| | | | Oh. There we go then. Heh, and all these months I've been such a Mininova fanboy and totally disregarding TPB. The ironies, oh the ironies. | | | | |

| | | | I used to use TPB, found Isohunt, figured out that TPB's trackers sucked (sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowness!), and stopped using TPB.. Now I don't use BitTorrent anymore, though.. | | | | |

| | | | I could never find anything I wanted on Usenet... Guess it was because I never looked for the newest and greatest.
Its hard to find older games and programs on Bittorrent or usenet, which sucks.

| | | | Well, it's all about looking for the right stuff, Chad. Obscure old stuff? Probably won't find that. More popular old stuff? Probably out there somewhere.
And if all else fails, you might post a request somewhere... not that I know how well requests are answered....
