| | | | Hey guys, I am curious if anybody here owns a GP2X. Also if anybody knows if Noctis IV would work on it via x86 Emulation (Dosbox).
If it was possible it would the best handheld game ever =P

| | | | Sure it will. Right after we get N64, ES: Arena and PS1 emulation working. | | | | |

| | | | x86 emulation through dosbox is SLOW.
So slow, in fact, that Noctis IV can't even run properly through it on my somethingorother core 2 duo CPU (I've got a Thinkpad T60P)...
So, yes, it'll run, but you'll have to wait 5 minutes until the first frame shows up, and then wait like two minutes for every next frame
Seriously, Dosbox isn't like some magic thing. It's slow. Damn slow. Even on the GP2x.

Apparently it was a Project64 port. I searched and searched, and could not find any reference to any GP2x N64 emulator that ever existed. So, I dunno what to say...

| | | | It works. But it isn't playable. Most N64 games will never be playable. Only the 2d card game one and such. | | | | |

| | | | Wasn't this talked about already at some point?
Anyway, I don't even think I want Noctis on a GP2X. It's the kind of slow-burning game that just isn't suited for on-the-go gaming, if you ask me. Perfect for long hours at home, though.

| | | | Really I just think noctis IV would look so sweet on smaller screen. I really cant want for Noctis V to come out. I really hope Alex is working on it. | | | | |

I concider myself to be quite knowledgeable about the GP2x community, and if there had existed a working (working as in graphics-displaying) N64 emu, I would've known about it....

| | | | Oh, I never told told you about that one I've been working on, did I? It currently runs all N64, GC, and Wii games on the GP2X at 120fps with surround sound and 16x antialiasing and anisotropic filtering. I'm not going to consider releasing it unless I can get it up to at least 160fps though. | | | | |

| | | | I'd shoot for 200FPS at least. Can't have a crappy emulator ruin your name. | | | | |

 | | | | Ummm, what are you talking about? Haven't you heard? Last year Google became a larger company than Microsoft, making them the world's largest company. | | | | |
