| | | | I've spent the last few hours trying to figure out how to get a certain Analytical Machine (history's foremost vaporware) Emulator working. Since I have virtually no knowledge of Java, I can't make sense of any of the instructions, of which there are few.
I want to run either the command-line or the graphical emulator (I did not find the graphical emulator, it may have just been a description), but I haven't the knowledge to do so (it isn't just a simple download-extract-doubleclick ordeal).
Here is the whole Analytical Engine page. The files are scattered throughout. Thanks in advance, if anyone here can find out how to work it.

| | | | It doesn't look like you need to know any Java - t he regular command line emulator worked for me, just run as a standard java program:
| | | | | | | I guess some of the example cardfiles don't display anything, so if you want to see what they're doing do | | | | | | | and it'll print out the instructions it's executing. Others display a result, or write it to standard output.
(If it still doesn't work, check your classpath, but I don't think you should have a problem.)

| | | | Ok, it works. However, I have managed to finally find the browser-based version, which is a lot easier. | | | | |
