Does it really matter? It's called artistic interpretation. Just think about practically every other videogame-inspired film in existence. How often do those manage to capture the feeling of their source material? : )

That being said, I could certainly see a more faithful adaption of Noctis working as a short film. Perhaps the scenario could follow a Felysian's visit to a life-bearing planet, only to have him somehow get separated from his landing pod. Maybe he lands in an ocean during a heavy storm, and has to venture across a large island full of alien sights and hazards to be reunited with it. You could still take a lot of liberties while staying true to the atmosphere of Noctis though. Things like more varied wildlife and flora, underground exploration and so on could be included without diverging too far from the source.

I just don't want people coming in here asking "where can I see a Drakhnator?" or "why can't I see lithium eaters", or worse still: "how can I fire my weapon?".
Oh, but you can see them. First, you need to catch 100 birds... ; )

I just don't want the first thing people see of Noctis be a movie, or timeline that has little if anything to do with it. But then, some people find Noctis via google, second hit being a Belgian nightclub, so... Yep, you are right; a movie is pretty harmless.

Still, it would be nice if an indie garage filmmaker could at least try to get a video-game inspired movie right. I know the big studios wont, but why can't the indies?

I havent posted any info on how the Noctis movie is progressing ,sorry about that, but I have some good news a trailer is currently under construction but due to some small glitches it gonna take just a while before the film is finished I havent even gotten to the middle of the film but I'm definitly gonna try to make it spectacular.

I'm glad to see I didn't discourage you from continuing the project, Parsis. I was beginning to worry that I had scared you away with my over-reaction.

Well I now know how a lithum eater looks now, but how about a mothge am guessing there everything a lithium eater is except the claws and red eyes and purple fur, am I right?

You needn't worry about them. If you're still going off the timeline, there are so few of them active that you won't see them. And they're not much of a threat anyway.

Oh, I apologize if I said I was going off the timeline, what I meant to say is that the film is based on the unnoficial time line.

GREAT NEWS! I believe the Noctis trailer may be done tomarrow or the day after; it's turning out pretty nice, although you may see a few glitches in the video, that's because the film
is still under production.

Whoa, triple post

Looks nice, if not a little over-dramatized. :]

Whoa... It's like Noctis X Extreme Edition.

Even the fooms look extreme. : P

Could have used more explosions though. Nice work, anyway. : )

Amusing...I don't mean "funny," but diverting isn't the right word, either.

But, come on, is no one going to say it? It shouldn't be "Date May Vary." It should be "WHEN IT'S READY!". (That's a Noctis V line, Parsis).

I paused and had a look at the models at some points. Good job, I must say!
Really promising trailer overall, with the spacecraft, creatures and all.
(the background landscape might need a bit more detail though e.g. triangular rocks and fleeing hoppers)

I still watched it without audio turned on.

But I must say that it gives the impression of being Noctis.
I mean, colours and overall atmosphere are definetely "right".

I'll wait curiously, I'm not very attracted by the unofficial timeline, lithium eaters, and even a Felysian (unless it's water surface reflecting the character aspect), but it's really better then what I was expecting. Seriously, I liked it.

I also subscribed to your channel, and by the way, does anyone hate the new Youtube movies format? My videos alre almost all Noctis ones, they all looked better as they were before!

there is nothing written here, but it seems to be the fashion
