| | | | For the longest time, I had figured that the habitable zone for Felisian planets (not counting Felisian moons) was as close as 3rd to as far as 5th from the star, with 5th position worlds being pretty rare. Just now however, I stumbled across a Felisian world, 7th from the sun.

(The world on the left is a moon of the Felisian planet.)
The planet is frigid, even at the equator at mid-day, the temperature doesn't climb above 20 °F, and at night at the poles, it goes down to a somewhat chilly -175 °F.

Most of the planet is colored in icy blue shades, although the land around the equator tends to be a muddy green-brown color.

The poles make for great pictures, everything is very bright and vivid. Notice the little tree, still surviving in such ridiculously low temperatures.
Considering how many times I landed, and the climate, I figured animal life did not exist on the world...but just as I went back to my capsule, I noticed this purple dot of a bird flying (very slowly) overhead.
So what I want to know now is, just HOW far can Felisian worlds be placed from their stars?

| | | | "My" farthest felisian planet is a 6th, I guess.
Nice finding, those pictures trasnmit a sense of peaceful calm. I never payed attention on this topic but I'm sure I'm going to notice when I'll get to a far orbiting felisian in the future.

| | | | Well, I have a technicality. I had an S08 system where one star was ridiculously far from it's companion, at least a good 10 LY away or something nuts like that. It had a felysian planet around it, the surface was dim and barely visible despite being relatively close to this companion star. I guess companion stars shed no light in NIV. This is as big as technicality as it comes though, as though the distance was incredibly expansive, I'm pretty sure the companion was only the 4th "planet", or so.
As for non S08, I'm pretty sure I've had a pretty far Felysian world, I think it was in an expansive S01 system. I'll have to go looking for it sometime. I'm pretty sure I've seen a Felysian world farther than 5.

| | | | EDIT:Whoops, missed out the 'not counting felisian moons' bit.
Let's see... <leafs through Noctis IV gallery>
Got one!:

Note how frigid even the vegetated areas seem:

With animal life too:

And the S09 which I visited recently had a whopping 3 or 4 felisians orbiting the 7th object, with the 'transparent felisian' I posted about in another topic being one of them.
A shot from one of the felisians:

It also had about 2 felisians orbiting the 6th object.
And here're shots from an orange giant felisian...the 12th moon of the 7th planet:
<yes, that thing on the hill's crest's a charger

There're also quite a few 5th position worlds, with Pelenor Glacier being one.

| | | | Hi all, I just recently came across this game and have been enjoying it a lot. One of the first felisian planets I came across was the moon of the 14th planet away from the star. The entire planet was gray and dim looking, and below freezing everywhere I went on it, though there were blue plants and scattered everywhere. | | | | |

Any snapshots?
Meanwhile, I've found a 6th position world around an S04. A rather pleasant place, actually.

| | | | Well, here's another Felisian Planet Number 7 of an S01 star (located something like 53 dyams out):

(Not one of MY worlds [how shocking!], it was discovered by somebody or other named: "ryan bury, epoc 6011:558.215")
That's from an S04? The flares in the phoyto make it look like a S08. Visor down? Just a thought, not a gripe. I mean it.

| | | | Yes, I like having the visor down...the terrain on some felisian worlds can really hurt my eyes. For example, I almost quit during my first run, after my first landing brought me some painful contrast: Here's my first Noctis shot, on Lyonnese's Pelenor Glacier:

That planet 2 posts up, I think, was my 3rd 6th position S04 world.
Going slightly offtopic, so far, my distance record has been this S01 moon I ran into recently(by ran into., I mean that I was dashing around attempting to find something that could at least faintly compare to one of those several LY worlds). It's a 'mere' 2.3 LY away from its parent star. I've made two landings so far, and it appears to be surprisingly bright, with plenty of small birds.
