You could... just completely drop all active support for IE, like I do...

So you just don't bother to check whether two thirds of internet users are able to see your web site correctly? : |

Unfortunately, Cryo pointed out the exact problem I have with it...

P.S. in the case of PL2009, however, 'correctly' is a big word. 'Decently' is more appropriate.

Exactly...
I only get <5% IE users anyways (as far as I can tell at least), so I'm really not caring.

In effects, even here they might not be many. Besides, I'm already done with IE support in PL2009, and as long as it's somewhat supported (in an "ugly mode" not allowing alpha-blended backgrounds and also discarding alpha-blended images scaled to a percentage of their actual size), I'll keep it.

Nice stats. : P

I imagine the percentages are rather different for unique visitor counts though. Most of those hits are probably from the chat bar reloading for site regulars who leave AnywhereBB idling for hours on end. Since most of the major members here don't use IE, it's not exactly representational of new or infrequent visitors to the site. Also, the site as a whole may appeal more to those who are more technically inclined, increasing the likelyhood of them using an alternative browser. Since Postline is intended for use at other sites, it's still important to make sure it works in IE though. : )
