I was wondering about running Noctis on XP. Everyone seems to say it doesen't work or something, but when I stick it in C:\ it seems to run fine (C:\games\ that is).

People say they have to run it on Dosbox, but when I run GO on dosbox it says this program can't be run on DOS anyway.

So, if I play for awhile, will I get bugs because of XP or what?

XP is the best OS to use when playing Noctis, unless you got the rare 64-bit version, in which case it wouldn't work. It is rather Windows Vista that keep bringing the headaches. Stick with XP, and you should be fine as far as Noctis is concerned.

There's the occasional odd issue of the file location being too long, but since you've got it in C:\games\ you won't run into that problem.

I have my Noctis installed on a thumbdrive, and I usually run it on 2 computers, both XP. Works fine on the older on, but has poor framerate on the other. Never seen any instance where it didn't run on an Xp.
