It's Speed-G's time to wake up. It is a widely-accepted fact that GREENs get to sleep in a little -- even ifd it is only a couple of minutecycles -- and Speed-G is no exception.

Of course, he quickly becomes aware that his implant's clock is acting up, and proceeds to query said implant about its time reference.

subject: Implant reference time
analysis: The implant's clock is synchronised with the time set by the
sector's compnode, presently LOL Sector Central Compnode.

          officials of appropriate clearance

I start heading back down in the direction of out, so I can head to our bots and use the hygiene station in the other bot.

While continuing to watch the screen and cross my digits, I attempt to determine what might be inside my now-opened package by poking at it and smelling it. And maybe shaking it lightly back and forth while listening for any package-sounds that might result.

Cyrus-R continues with his trying to do three things at once: cross his fingers, watch the vidscreen, and ascertain what his package contains...

(OOC: rolling: 12)

But this time, something might have to give; pretty much all he can do is to shake the package, whereupon it rustles and makes sloshing noises, as if there were both something that could rustle and a container of liquid ocntained inside.

Meanwhile the vidscreen has settled on displaying a list of twenty names. Hey, there's Patrick-R's name!

Soon, the drumroll finishes, once again, with a slightly longer fanfare this time. "That concludes the list of Third Prize winners," the bot states.

"Thank you, Choosebot!" Sarah-Y replies. "If you see your name on the screen, you just won not one, but three clones! I bet you're happy!"

"But wait, there is more," the choosebot answers. "Commencing Second Prize draw in three... two... one." Once again, the screen returns to its random letters and numbers, and once again the drumroll starts.

"This is getting exciting!" Sarah-Y replies. "This itme, if your name is chosen, you'll receive an entire set of six clones!"

L4-O starts heading downstairs for the exit, and their bots. There may be hygiene stations in the building, but do they even work? L4-O doesn't know. The only one that he knows works is the one contained inside Speed-G's bot.

Stairwell, Building 2, Point One, [REDACTED], right now

Descending, he notes that the lights have gone out. It seems that the generator ran out of power while they slept.

Point One, [REDACTED], right now

As he gets outside, he notes that the bodies of those creatures -- they look even uglier in the morningcycle's light -- are still here, as are their bots. They might want to clean the bots off at some point.

He tries to enter Speed-G's bot to find that it is locked.

I go down there, quickest as I can while still looking GREENish so I can let my slaves, I mean, subordinates, enter the bot.

While waiitng for Speed-G to answer, L4-O takes the time to have a look around, now that he can actually see without needing the aid of his implants to point out that things are actually there. The first thing is that there are more than just the three buildings they saw before they went to sleep; there are in fact plenty more in the distance. They could probably spend weekcycles just exploring this place. If only they had the time.

The second is that he can now see the reflective material that covers the buildings; the initial conclusion that it might be an early form of reflec does seem to hold weight. That said, he comes to realise that a couple of the buildings do seem to sport burn marks that penetrate quite deep into the reflec...

Did they cause that last nightcycle?

[Speed-G-DOF-6] Right away
Not that L4-O gets to worry about that for long.

From somewhere, L4-O can hear the sound of some saort of liquid rushing along a channel.

Here's Speed-G now, just in time to interrupt L4-O's thoughts concerning the running liquid. Looking as GREEN as he can manage while not actually wearing snazzy GREEN clothes, he unlocks the bot.

I board the bot and, unless Speed-G uses it first, claim the hygiene station to take care of business!

> Hmm. I hear some sort of... liquid outside? It's weird, not sure what's going on.

"Wow! I bet Patrick-R is happy! Well, if he's watching the vidshow and not doing whatever it is that Patrick-R does during the daycycle."

I momentarily hold off on further examining my rustling and sloshing package, as I concentrate on crossing my digits, as the helpful vidshow-bot suggested.

L4-O immediately heads for the hygiene station. Maybe the sound of the liquid has caused him to move with haste? he certainly finds the sound to be odd...

Idly wondering if Patrick-R is watching, Cyrus-R stops trying to figure out what's in the package; he's now only focused on watching the vidscreen and crossing his fingers. Maybe he just wants to cross more fingers. After all, the second prize -- six whole clones -- is pretty exciting.

Even though it takes a while, and seems to need several camera angles of the choosebot. At times, it seems to need several angles at once. But soon, the choosebot's vidscreen shows six names.

(OOC: rolling: 19)

Again, Cyrus-R is not one of them. There's Erik-O, though, and someone called Ham-R-TIM-1...

True to his word, Speed-G sticks around and stands watch outside the bot. It looks like L4-O might be a while.

"Wow! I bet Erik-O is at least twice as happy as Patrick-R! Didn't I just see those two together a short while ago? It seems very coincidental and not at all suspicious that both of them won! I wonder how many clones entered this lottery..."

I continue watching the vidshow, while wondering how many clones entered this lottery.
