I lead the team in doing precisely that, seeing if we can get in behind the YELLOW team.

"Wow! Is it lunch time already?"

I head over to my bed and examine the package, or if the light is no longer on, the outline of the package, shaking it a bit and noting whether or not it sounds like lunch.

L4-Y decides that that YELLOW has the right idea, and follows suit, along with the rest of his team.

(OOC: rolling: 4)

The ORANGE who is now behind them looks like he has something to say about it, but he spots Speed-G, and thinks better of it, allowing the team to survey the inside of PLC.

Last time they were here, the place was empty, and they could get served immediately, but now there's the usual queue; sure, they were able to shortscut some of it, and they can now follow the YELLOW (or, perhaps, the GREEN) line, which doesn't twist and turn nearly asd much as RED or ORANGE lines, but it might still take them some time to get to the counter.

Wondering aloud if it's lunch time (causing his implants to light up with IT IS NOT LUNCHTIME once again) Cyrus-R picks up the Assigned Meal Pack (still visible due to the light still being on) and starts shaking it. He can hear rustling and sloshing.

"Shhh!" Johannes-R hisses at him. "Do you want the enforcers to hear us?"

"Never mind that," Patrick-R answers, having taken care of his medications. "I assume there's a reason for everyclone still being awake?"

"You could say that," another dorm-mate replies. "There's no Sleepy-Sleepy. Apparently, The Computer doesn't think it's SleepyTyme just yet. But it should have been 23:00... and it's... well, see for yourself..."

Patrick-R pulls out his PDC, lighting up his face with its red screen. "Wow... a Long Nightcycle? I've only read about those..."

"Is that what they're called?" Johannes-R asks. "I heard one of the enforcers say something about a daycycle extension..."

"That's what we call it in SIL Sector," is the reply. "I hear that they're quite interesting to experience... and now we're getting they opportunity."

I tag along, having a proper YELLOW team surely will increase my GREENYness.

After all, Friend Computer rewards loyalty, and what is more rewarding than seeing your loyal team promoted alongside you?

Following his YELLOWs as they follow the YELLOW line, Speed-G seems pleased at the recent turn of events. Perhaps it is the recent promotion of most of his team to YELLOW, which will surely enhance his own GREEN status -- they're his teammates, after all, and what is more loyal than getting promoted?

Terminating a traitor and getting promoted for doing it, of course. But you can't do that all of the time; there'd be no traitors for anyone else!

(OOC: rolling: 9)

Hey, has anyone noticed that there's a distinct lack of Queue Enforcement Officer?

"Wow! Maybe I should go back to work!"

I open my package and have a better look at what this latest lunch consists of.

"You know, if Friend Computer didn't think we needed to sleep just yet, we should probably do something else productive with our time. I recommend surveys!"

I check whether I happen to have any stray surveys on-hand, or if they all ended up in my locker.

I see if I do, in fact, notice there is a lack of a Queue Enforcement Officer.

Otherwise, I just remain mostly oblivious to that while standing in line, waiting for our turn.

The queue slowly moves forward, with the YELLOW part of it moving faster than the RED and ORANGE parts Perhaps few clones have noticed the lack of Queue Enforcement Officer.

(OOC: rolling: 17) And it seems that L4-Y is one of them.

Ahead, a RED seems to have noticed, as he's decided to skip through a GREEN section to sloewhere closer to the counter.

It seems that Cyrus-R didn't hear Johannes-R tell him to keep it down, as he keeps talking at his usual volume, saying that he should probably go back to work. "How about you don't?" suggests Johannes-R. "It's stil ltechnically SleepyTyme, and the Curfew Enforcers are all too happy to let you know that. We're stuck in here until they leave. And can we have that light turned off?"

The lcone with the PDC turns off the light. "Sorry."

"He does have a point", one of the others says. "I mean, we have these SleepyTyme meetings all of the time, but there's no--"

"These meetings are important," Patrick-R tells him. "I know you've only been with us for a couple of monthcycles, but I'm sure you've seen by now: we're the ones who--"

"-- don't fit in," the clone replies. "I know. But I'd rather do? something..."

"Like what?" Johannes-R asks. "There's only five of us -- six now, if Large Guy -- Cyrus-R? -- is staying with us. There's only so much we can do..."

He's interrupted by Cyrus-R, who, it seems, has discovered some surverys which, for some reason, didn't end up in his Engagement Pack, and is even now suggesting that everyone fill them out.

"...wait, I forgot... Patrick-R said that you're a Survey Enforcement Officer, aren't you? I guess you're more useful than I thought. What have you got there?"

"Surveys?" the clone with the PDC asks. "What good will they do?"

"I'm sure that Cyrus-R can tell you," Patrick-R answers. "Can't you?"

I also see if I even notice that a RED just performed a not so good stunt.

Otherwise, I continue to mostly just stand around, starting to approach obliviousness. Maybe a residual effect from the sim?

(OOC: rolling: 5)

As it happens, L4-Y was looking right at the RED as he performed his queue-junping stunt and couldn't really fail to notice him.

The rest of the team seem to have failed to notice, as they're just blankly following the queue while being oblivious to everything else. This is to be expected; they have just exited from a sim after almost twenty-four hourcycles. Clones under such circumstances have sometimes been observed to have difficulties with concentration for a short time after exit. It'll pass, though.

I frown and lower my voice a bit.

"Hey... did you see that RED? Just cut right through a GREEN section. What's up with that?"

L4-Y points out the RED, who seems to be about to do the same thing again, which would take him almost to the counter. It's funny how no-one else seems to have noticed him.

Except for Lucas-Y. "I see him! He's kinda hard to look at, though... like he's both there and not there."

"I know of a mutation that could do that..." Paula-Y begins.

"I can think of some as well," John-Y tells her. *It's not just Invisibility, you know..."

"Got him," Jam-Y exclaims, quietly. "His name's... wait, that's weird. I can't read his name. It's like it's not there."

"Definitely not Invisibility," John-Y remarks.

"Okay, that IS odd. And suspicious. And suspiciously odd."

"Should we do something?"

I keep watching the RED, if I can visually identify anything odd about him, using the implant if possible to ID him.

As the queue moves again, L4-Y takes a bit more interest in this suspicious, odd, and oddly suspicious RED. He can see the clone clearly, and can even see what appears to be an R&D logo on his jumpsuit, but his implants can't identify him; no, they don't even seem to see him. Any attempts to identify him him just result in an error:

By now, this odd clone has reached the front of the queue and is even being served at the desk, so... he exists? Question mark?

> I can't even read him on my implant. He does have an R&D logo... but somehow I doubt that excuses him from pulling clearance like that!
