I like the last shot, it has a very desolate atmosphere.

Anyway, embedding so many images in a single post (thus suggesting that other posts will be cluttered as well), is a thing that is generally frown upon, over here.
I don't think there are any rules about it, still in these days users do not embed too many pictures in their posts.

Also the topic seems a little out of the ordinary: those who like to show off their shots usually have their own website or photo abum. Thread like this of yours are generally dedicated to a specific topic, we had for instance a Rings thread or the "Life on the Miracle system" one.

I'd suggest you to change the thread into a more generic "Faust's discoveries" thread.
Maybe posting less pictures in a single post so that the whole page will be lighter to load, and keeping them more organized, maybe by system, objects, or by "exploring expedition".

Again, these are not rules and I am not scolding you : P, I'm just telling you how users are used to see their favorite website.
If people start posting their panoramic shots, I think everything's fine, then.

Thank You very much for the 'heads-up', Neuzd! You just told me something I could no learn any other way!

Hey, you could research more the tower (From the second photo) and tell us what you find!

It looks pretty interesting.

There is potential, no doubt. Like I said, new explorers are always welcome. I quite like the 3rd shot...all the mesas and such are lined up pretty nicely, and the felysian shots, mostly because of the good vantage points. The last shot...well, it's desolate, but doesn't really totally convey the 'quartz world environment' too much. Overall it's always nice to see new posts here- I second neuzd's idea of creating a dedicated, active discovery thread. These threads can last some time, so keep posting.

I'm sad to disappoint You, but I can't find the planet with that tower! I enter the coordinates, but the closest 8th planet to those coordinates is a completely different one! Maybe You have any tips regarding Parsis travelling, because I'm still pretty new to finding distant and unnamed objects!

The parsis shown on the shots are those of your actual position.
To reach that system, you should go to those coordinates and then look for the closest star around, generally less than 1 LY.

This isn't always the case though: with very large systems the weirdest things can happen : P

I stumbled upon this beautiful planet a couple of minutes ago and I took this picture from a perfectly flat hilltop, similar to those seen in this picture.

Ruins of a religious city maybe?

If you are able to find that planet, I believe you should be able to figure which sector you were in by the information at the top of the picture. I haven't played Noctis in a while, so I am not actually sure how easy this would be.

I do think it would be interesting to find that exact tower and take some closer shots, especially with a different time of day.

Who knows, I may even venture there myself just to see if I can find the tower!

Photo taken from the bottom of a rather deep chasm.

I found the system in that shot.
It's weird though that I can't see the mountain!

For practical reasons, I was running vanilla NIV in a virtual environment. I want to see what happens with a regular game, before saying that VNoctis has issues, although that puzzles me.

I'm also pretty sure it was the correct planet: it's a thin atmosphere planet orbiting an S00.
Type, position, surface and sky colors, gravity and pressure all match your shot.

I reached the system with the method I described earlier in another post.
When you approach the coordinates look for the fastest moving star, that is most likely your target.
Stop the Vimana drive, and target the star when you think you have spotted it.
It's better to do this when you're still a bit far from the system, maybe 5 LY. This way you should avoid the Linking/Parking phases, which are very prolonged when you're extremely near a system.

Wow, You sound like a die-hard Stardrifter!

I'll do my best to find that mountain, take notes in form of images and post them here.
Wish me luck, I'm on my way!

EDIT: Ok, I'm still having serious trouble with finding that S00 star with the "Tower" planet...
I want to find that tower, take some pictures to show You all and name it the "Holy Grail"... Because it is so complicated to find it! I'll ad something about Neuzd too in the Guide!

Sorry, I didn't notice the edit...

The parsis coordinates of that star are:
X=4314992 Y=4935292
Z=-2434943

Anyway, now I reached the planet in a "normal" game, but still no signs of the towering mountain.
That's a strange thing. I don't even know if asking what computer and OS you're running makes some sense...
You already told you aren't running NICE, am I correct?

Indeed, I am running Noctis IV+ on Windows XP/SP2! I'll try to find the star by the coordinates You just provided and I'll see if I can find that "Holy Grail"!
