A strange anomaly in the galaxy, which I'm sure is a side effect of some programming. I'm not certain if this has been discussed before, but I have run across what could be best described as a "gap" in the galaxy. This big gap is lined with stars on both sides, but has nothing in the middle. Another interesting note is that most of the stars on either side of the gap have no planets. I've come across one or two stars that have had planets (one of them was already named). Any one else run across this? It can be found by traveling to 0,0,0 by Parsis.

Here's a pic of the "Void".

Hmm... Interesting. I don't quite remember, but I think that someone else came across something similar.

(You can't link to images via BBCode by the way. You'll need to use the img tag for html.

Welcome to the community by the way!
Here's the correction:

We've come across a vertical grid before. Aptly named "The Grid". But I think this is new. Have to ask our resident navy officer or something.

Also, this is not like a normal forum. We use different tags. : )

Well spotted Kubba.
This one is a long known fact about the stars distribution, here's a picture LKRaider took from NoctisMapper where the 'void pattern' is very clear.

About the planetless systems, I think it may have been just a coincidence.
By the way, welcome explorer.

My bad on the code, here's a link:

It's great the Noctis community is still active after all of these years; I guess that just goes to show how awesome the game is. I've been playing Noctis since 04' but recently gained a new interest in the game when I finally got DWNoctis to run in fullscreen mode in Win7.

I feel inspired to share more of my discoveries now. In fact, I found a peculiar planet just last night...

Maybe you could be so kind and share your discovery?
I am very interested!

Cool, I never saw abnormal distribution myself...

I only saw abnormal huge pools (sorry people, but these pools REALLY traumatized me and made me paranoid)

I posted my other discovery as a reply to Noctis Discoveries/Ongoing Investigations. MingaMango181 found something similar.
