Hey guys! It's been far too long since I've posted around here, I'll be sure to change that from here on out.

Digging around in my folder full of old DOS games and such, I discovered that I still had Noctis, nestled between Star Control II and Protostar: War on the Frontier. Played it, loved it all over again, made this.

(By the way, you should totally play Protostar)

Cute and lovely!
Welcome back, explorer.

I don't remember how long you've been away, if it was so long that you missed the reintroduction of the starmap updates, well, they're back, so send outboxes, for the good of the Galaxy

I can't say it's my favorite art ever, because I don't think that kind of impressionistic shape-art is really my thing, but it's fairly good as far as such things go. No offense intended.

I will definitely play Protostar when I have some time to sit down and play it... Thank you, Taco, I've always liked games like that.

(By the way, are you a designer? Can I hire you?)

Cute and laconic, just how I like it.
And welcome back.

I remember I had a good time playing Protostar, it was really a gem.
Got it from Abandonia by the way.

Malkom, my dear friend. Here's a brief introduction to the world of impressionism, just for you.

Just noticed Malkom said the art is impressionistic...

Very ironic (considering the point of impressionism was ignore shape in favour of lighting, thus "impressionistic" shape-art is a oxymoron)

His style remember of some early german and russian functionalistic graphic design, like Bauhaus

And sorry for being more pedantic than Kynreeve, I am a design student, so I could not resist

I do love Bauhaus, there's a certain fun challenge in compressing complex stuff into as little as possible.

(The Bauhaus from Mutant Chronicles is pretty cool too, hurr durr)

Impressionism is one of the very few painting styles that I enjoy, but I like your very-non-impressionistic box art a lot. So nice and smooth!

OK, so maybe not impressionism technically, but you get the idea... it's a figure of speach, you know...

This is fun : )
Maybe I don't see it very coherent with the Felysian attitude, but as a t-shirt design for the real life us, it would be killer.
Care to modify it that way? : P

Just finished this one, seriously considering making a poster of it.

Also should probably make another thread for all of these.

I need this T-shirt. Or maybe one of the first picture. Both!

I like all these very much.

And, Malkom, they're not even practically impressionist. I suggest you just let that one go.
