Hi!
I found this place via the Trillek development forums. Trillek is the Community based project continuing the idea of "0x10C" that started when the developer of 0x10C put it "on ice, indefinitely".

The comment was intended to send people to look at Noctis and its good points and bad points and learn and/or be inspired.

But I'm more inspired by Postline! That's what made me register.

Full disclosure: I'm not a stable person when it comes to my interests or habits, so I'm likely to "disappear" for long periods after a period of activity. Too many interests and hobbies tends to cause that, and for me it is generally a seasonal shift.

So, Hi! Thanks for having me!

Oh, like the creator of these forums and Noctis, Alex.

This is a generally quiet place of the internet. Sometimes people will be here, and no one says anything, anyway.

Either way, welcome!

I didn't realize 0x10c was cancelled, though I wasn't really following its development. I suspect it may have been shelved due to it being something more of a niche product, that might not be as appealing to much of the wider audience who were drawn to Minecraft. Hopefully the community-developed project progresses better than our own community sequel to Noctis, which never really got off the ground. : P I'm sure 0x10c still has a more active following with a larger community of potential developers than Noctis had by the time the prospect of a community-developed sequel was proposed though.

Postline is neat, and I like it as well. It hasn't seen major updates for a few years though, and is arguably in need of a refresh. Alex, the developer of Postline, Noctis and most of the other software here, was working on a new version making use of more modern web development techniques (in place of the ten-thousand or so frames the site currently uses) within the last year, but it apparently got set aside for the time being. He's also been working on an experimental winged flying machine the last couple years, so releases of his programming projects have been placed a bit on the backburner. In any case, you may have found it already, but Postline's source can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of the 'home' page and is available under GPL.

And as Albeyamakiir said, Alex tends to often go months at a time without logging in here (as is the case right now), so don't worry about disappearing from time to time. : P

Thanks for the welcome and the understanding!

I did find the Postline source, and I'm digging through to see how to set it up on one of my dev corners. :-)
