I got myself a new link:

All the comics of Garfield from the beginning till now.

Good find!. Though there was actually more written earlier than that. I had a book of Garfield from his first versions where, well, he looks nothing like he does now. I even remember how the first strip went.

Jon: "Hi, I'm Jon and this is my pet cat Garfield"
Garfield: "Hi I'm Garfield and this is my pet owner Jon."
Jon: "Our only hope is to entertain you."
Garfield: "Feed Me."

An ominous warning of things to come...

has some free music to download. perfectually legal and free to redestribute. you need a free account for amazon.

a freeware/no real ware way to install non windows signed visual themes onto your computer. Quite nice.

a freeware way to change your icons, either one at a time, or with special packages. good stuff. they just need more people to make more themes

A nice site where you can find music from independent musicians. Every CD has her own page, where you also can listen to the tracks. (in fact those are samples of the first two minutes of a track)
It also seems there is no limit in the genre, you can really find every kind of music suitable for every mood or occasion.

Althought it is not a site where you can download for free, but have to order, I think that there are members here who are interested in this site.

But if this link is not in her right to be here, I won't disagree with the removal of it by an administrator/moderator

Edit: I just have to post this, it is nice how important you can feel after an order.

CD-Baby said:
Your CDs have been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CDs and polished them to make
sure they were in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CDs into the finest gold-lined box that
money can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved 'Bon Voyage!' to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Wednesday, June 1st.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as "Customer of the Year". We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Errr...I know this is a bit off topic (please don't shoot me!) but the old DOS games site is missing episodes II and II of Comander Keen. Anone know where I can find 'em for free download?

You can get episode 1 and 4 here.
And like this site mentioned the other episodes are still commercial, so you have to buy them.

Here's a great link: http://www.starwreck.com/

It's the homepage of a Finnish sci-fi parody series. They've already done several episodes. For the past few years the group has been doing a full length movie, which will be released on 20.8.05. So less than a month to go.

I'd like to voice my own opinion of Weebl and Bob at this moment in time:

thank you.
