They'll look like tabs are 4 spaces to me, and look like they're 8 spaces to you, etc. Some people use 3 spaces or other weird things, but it really doesn't matter unless someone isn't using actual tabs (or unless their editor is replacing them with spaces, which some do... but you should be able to turn that off).
